We’ve upgraded to the cloud based version of QB. My question is, can we now delete our locally saved company files?
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, .
Yes, you can delete your locally saved QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company files after upgrading to QuickBooks Online (QBO) if you no longer need them.
However, please note that by deleting these files, you will not have access to any historical information you would need later, such as for tax purposes or audits.
That being said, if you're unsure whether you'll need this information in the future, you'll want to consider keeping these files for potential reference.

Thank you for transitioning to QuickBooks Online!

You can delete the QB program but you must keep the backup file (*.qbb) safely. You may need it in the future to access historical data.
I was corrected by our accounting team. We do not have QBO. We have QB Desktop Enterprise that is hosted by right networks. It’s my understanding that our QB company files were all migrated to the new right networks host. Historical data included.
