Deleting open invoices

I know how precious time is for you and the relevance of keeping your records organized, especially your invoices. Let me provide an alternate method for deleting your sales entries.

Before we start, may I know which QuickBooks version you're using? Please know that the Accountant menu is only available in the following versions: QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Accountant and Enterprise.

Regarding the batch deletion of entries, the feature is only available in QBDT Accountant 2018, Enterprise and Enterprise Accountant 18.0, and later versions. Otherwise, we'll have to manually delete the invoices.

If you're not subscribed to any of the desktop programs mentioned above, you can consider using a third-party application to remove the sales entries in bulk. Let's run a quick search in the Intuit Marketplace.

From there, type a keyword in the search bar to speed up the process like, batch deleter programs. From the list, browse each one to learn more about how the app works.

Install the trial version of QB Desktop 2021 Enterprise to make sure. You can use it for good if required.

Thanks for the replies. We have the pro version Desktop 2021. Sorry I forgot to mention that. I wonder if the Desktop Pro 2021 can be upgraded to the Accountant version? Or any version that will help at a reasonable cost.  We can't afford the fees associated with 2023. Thanks for your help.

Do you have a link to the download? I'm not sure what you mean when you say I can use it for good. Will my Pro id work with that. Can you still share files with other copies of Pro? We're a multi user environment with two licenses. Thanks again

If you have an accountant who's using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), I suggest reaching out to them to help you with deleting transactions. They will be able to batch-delete entries on their end and ensure it is done correctly.

However, if you don't have one and still wish to upgrade your QuickBooks version, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks customer care team. They will be able to provide you with guidance on which version of QuickBooks to upgrade to that best suits your business needs. They can also provide information on any associated costs and help you find a version that is affordable for you.

Here's how to reach them:

1. In your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) file, go to Help, then select QuickBooks Help.
2. Select Contact Us.
3. Enter a brief description of your query, then select Continue.
4. Sign in to your Intuit account select Continue, and then Continue with my account.
5. We'll email you a single-use code. Enter your code and select Continue.
6. Select to chat with us or Have us call you.
