Desktop Enterprise Billing and sales orders

Good day!  I am using QB desk top enterprise Mfg.  We receive orders from our wholesale customers and the way accounting knows to invoice the customer is when the warehouse enters a tracking # on the sales order. Once the sales order is converted to an invoice, the warehouse loses track of that pending order.  Any ideas how to fix this.  It may be more of a process issue.  The problem is they are shipping out orders that have not been paid.  How can I create a report they can follow, allow me to invoice my customers and not send out orders that are shipped out before being paid.  Thanks in advance.

I'm here to help you sort this out, @banello11.

You can run the Sales by Customer Detail report as this helps you view all your sales for a specific period. It includes the transaction type, date, item, quantity, and amount. You can also add the Paid column to see whether it has been paid or not.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Sales and choose Sales by Customer Detail.
  3. Click on the Customize Report button.
  4. In the Display tab, type in "Paid" in the Search Columns field.
  5. Select Paid by placing a check mark.
  6. Click OK.

The screenshot below shows you the third to sixth steps.

You can also save this report so that you don't have to go through the same process again. Simply click the Memorize button and enter a new name. Then, you can access and open it by selecting Memorize Reports from the Reports menu. Refer to this article for more info: Create, access and modify memorized reports.

I'm always around if you need further assistance. Have a wonderful day!

thanks for the reply.  I appreciate it.  I will try that.  I was focused on the sales order report only.  Ha ha
