Does anyone know how to submit amended 1099 forms through QuickBooks Online for 2023?

QBO states 'check back later for instructions', yet no instructions are provided and no timeline is given for when these instructions will be posted.

Does anyone know how to submit amended 1099 forms through QuickBooks Online for 2023?

Hi there, @arpita1.

Allow me to share some insight about submitting amended 1099 forms through QuickBooks Online 2023.

You should directly collaborate with the IRS to manually amend your 1099 forms. Follow the provided IRS instructions for this process. After making the necessary corrections, you will be responsible for providing the corrected return to the recipient or contractor.

Furthermore, The process for correcting 1099 forms will be accessible within the product sometime after January 2024. Corrections should be submitted using the same method as the original submission. For instance, if the original was e-filed, then the correction must also be e-filed.

Once everything is settled, add contractors and track the payments you make to them.

Thank you for your response. However, it clearly states in QBO that amendments for 1099s can be filed through QBO for the 2023 tax year. I would prefer to efile amendments through QBO. Please let me know if you have any visibility into how that will work.
