Does the Snap and scan receipt feature work only for receipts in USD? Can it work for receipts in other currencies?

Yes, the snap and scan feature works for receipts in other currencies as well, Elise.

First, you need to enable the Multicurrency feature in QuickBooks and add other currencies. Once this is done, QuickBooks will allow you to set up different currencies for various vendors or payees.

Please note that once the Multicurrency feature is turned on, you cannot turn it off. This is important because the system will need to account for currency conversion information moving forward.

Before enabling the Multicurrency feature, you may want to read some key reminders in this article: Multicurrency in QuickBooks Online.

Here's how to enable the Multicurrency feature:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Account and settings.
  2. Click on the Advanced option.
  3. In the Currency section, select the pencil icon.
  4. From the Home Currency dropdown, select your currency.
  5. Toggle on the Multicurrency feature, then hit Save and Done.

After completing these steps, return to the Currency section and select Manage Currencies to add the different currencies.

Once that’s done, you can associate each vendor with a specific currency in the Vendors section and manage different currencies in your expenses.
