Downgrading to QBO Simple Starts from QBO Plus

I currently use the Plus version, but would like to downgrade to Simple Starts.

I know there is a loss of features, and have accounted for them (no recurring transactions, no inventory tracking, etc).

However,

1. What happens to the inventory ITEMS I have currently set up?

2. Open Purchase Orders?

In Simple Starts, are there  inventory items but no inventory Tracking? Are there Purchase Orders?

I have read the article son downgrading, I also know how to download - so please do not post link as an answer.

Thank you.

Downgrading to QBO Simple Starts from QBO Plus

Only plus and advanced have inventory, so no simple start does not have it.

The qty of inventory items are set to zero when you downgrade. Best to sell it all before downgrading. And you have to first deactivate the inventory items, so while the names will be there, that is all there is, they will not show on the product and services list.

What happens to the inventory value when it is deactivated or set to zero is not specified in QBO help at all, I have no idea. But what should happen is that you get hit with one hell of an expense.

There are no PO's in simple start or essentials, really immaterial since all they are is a memo of what was ordered and do not affect the financials

Downgrading to QBO Simple Starts from QBO Plus

Hi QBO peeps...

I am not happy about the $915 annual fee on QB Online Plus...

I need to downgrade to Simple because my business is really simple...

My inventory is basically at Zero... but I have a list of items that I sell that is handy that I call "Inventory".  I sell it all over the course of the year.

How do I keep track of the "list" of things I sell, So I can generate a "memo" or "form" or something easy to send to my vendor, that says:  Here's what I am buying from you, please ship...

The only thing I use in Plus is the Purchase Orders, which work nicely.  My vendors understand them.  How can I replace the process for ordering "stuff" in QB Simple?  I cannot go back to hand-written POs.

Any advice is appreciated.  thanks!

Downgrading to QBO Simple Starts from QBO Plus

Thank you for joining this Community thread, LORIN.

Let me share some details about switching your QuickBooks Online (QBO) plan from Plus to Simple Start.

When you downgrade your QBO plan directly through your existing account, you don't have to re-enter everything (such as company, customer, vendor, and employee information).

However, downgrading will remove all discounts and extra users from your current plan. You'll also lose additional features like multicurrency, inventory tracking, project tracking, and recurring transactions since the Simple Start plan doesn't support them.

Visit this article I've added below for the detailed steps and things you should know before downgrading: Upgrade or downgrade your QuickBooks Online subscription.

You can check out the up-to-date plans, pricing, and feature comparison for our QuickBooks Online product through this link: Choose a QuickBooks plan.

If you require any additional assistance with the migration, I''l be around if you need help. We always got your back. Have a great day!

Downgrading to QBO Simple Starts from QBO Plus

@LORINORLIEN

You should keep using QBO Plus to manage inventory. Otherwise, consider switching to another app. One of them costs $480/year and you will be able to manage inventory.
