edit service item

I'm trying to revise an old service item that's made up of other service items.

For instance, currently I have an item called 3pc, and this item has four different services bundled together.  How do I edit this list of items under 3pc?

thanks

Editing an item is easy. Click on Sales on the left column, click on Products & Services. Enter the item number in the lookup box to find the item. Click edit over to the right, change whatever you want, and click save.

I'm pleased to have you here, FajitaShorty.

I'll share information about updating individual items from a bundle.

Creating a Bundle in Quickbooks Online allows you to sell different items together. If you need to update its components, you can directly edit it from the item bundle. Let me guide you on how.

  1. Head to the Gear icon, then choose Products and services.
  2. Click on the Funnel icon, and select Bundle from the Type dropdown.
  3. Click on Apply, then look for the item you want to update.
  4. On the Action column, click on Edit.
  5. Make your changes, then hit Save and close.

Moreover, consider running and customizing a report to help you gain important insights regarding the status of your inventory.

Feel free to visit the Community for additional questions when updating your products and services or other related concerns in QuickBooks Online. We're always here to help.

Thanks for your quick answer, but 'Bundle' is not an option on my screen. (see image).

Yes, tried what you suggested already, but for some reason QBO doesn't accept the changes. I click 'save and close' and the window closes, but when I click 'edit' on the same item, the changes aren't there.

thanks

Thanks for getting back to us, @FajitaShorty. Let's collaboratively troubleshoot the issue to address the challenges of being unable to save changes when editing products and services in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To see the Bundle option, you'll have to select the Type dropdown. If the issue persists, let's proceed with some browser troubleshooting techniques.

In some instances, browsers may exhibit unusual behavior due to frequent page visits. To resolve this, log in to your QBO account using a private browser to access the product with a fresh start. You may utilize these keyboard shortcuts:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

Once resolved, return to your original browser to clear its cache or consider switching to a different supported one. It's likely a temporary issue with QBO or your current browser.

Additionally, you can run reports to obtain valuable insights into your purchasing and selling activities, along with a comprehensive overview of your inventory status.

Let me know if you need additional assistance performing specific tasks in QBO. I'm always here to help you out. Keep safe!

Hi

I tried your suggestion, first using a private Firefox browser and then using Chrome but had exactly the same results.

By going to Products and services, I can see the list of items I use for invoicing. (see image) The word 'Bundle' appears next to several items I created using QB Desktop. Yet when I click edit and delete an item and add another, then click 'save and close,' I see two things. The first is that the edit window does not close, so I have to manually close it. And second, the item (in this case 3pc) has not changed at all.

thanks for your help,
