Error Code 33366 00000

Whenever I click on QB Desktop Help or Contact us I receive Error Code 33366 00000. I have completed and sent the feedback box that pops up, but no answers.

How can I access the Help topics?

This has been going on for at least 1 week.

Error Code 33366 00000

Hey there, @JacWhit

 

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the QuickBooks Community for support. I hope you're enjoying your day so far.

 

The error message 33366 00000 is an Unrecoverable error. These errors can happen at random times. Such as: 

 

  • Attempting to open a company file
  • Closing a company file
  • Closing any open window in a company file
  • Creating a backup
  • Creating a company file
  • Creating a portable file
  • Downloading a payroll update
  • Etc.

 

It's important to send in the error log information as you have already. This lets our engineers know more about the error so they can ensure it's resolved in a future update. That said, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to send the log.

 

Let's try some basic troubleshooting steps to resolve the error below. Such as suppressing QuickBooks. 

 

  1. Press and hold the Ctrl key.
  2. Double-click your QuickBooks program icon.
  3. Hold the Ctrl key until the No Company Open window shows.
  4. Select the desired company file from the No Company Open window.
  5. Press and hold the Alt key, then select Open.
  6. If you are prompted for your log in information, release the Alt key, then enter your user name and password.
    Important: If you are not prompted for your user name and password, do not release the Alt key.
  7. Press and hold the Alt key, then select OK. Do not release the Alt key until your file is completely open.
     

Please Note: QuickBooks will display a blank screen. If you can highlight a QuickBooks menu by just hovering your pointer to it, your company file is completely open.
