Have you tried open your QBO account on private/incognito browser?

Error code 355 when connecting to bank (Bank Of America)

Welcome to the Community, @bugsbgonescnc.

I'll make sure that you'll be able to update your bank account.

This error means that incomplete info is pulled through from the Banks API (Application programming interfaces). From the Banking page, run a bank update to refresh the connection.

Here's how:

  1. From the left menu, go to Banking and select the Banking tab.
  2. Highlight the account you want to update, then click the Update button.

If you're still not to update the account, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account using a private window.
Ex. Click CTRL+SHIFT+N to open an incognito browser.
2. Go to the Banking menu then find the account that is not updating.
3. Click the pencil icon then choose Edit sign-in info.
4. Enter the log-in credentials, then click Update.

Your 'fix' did not work.  For one thing there is no option to edit sign in info via the pencil anymore. I have had three calls with Intuit about this issue and no resolution in sight. This is beyond frustrating...

@DanfromBoston

Utilize the trial version of SlickConnect to isolate the issue. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed. If the same error persists, there is an ongoing problem at your bank.

Error code 355 when connecting to bank (Bank Of America)

I have tried every possible way to try correct my credit card account to quickbooks, but to no avail.  It was working fine until my card was jeopardized and I had to get a new card. Now all I get is the error 355 message.  I have Windows 11 and was told by one of the technicians at Quickbooks when he looked at my computer that I  need to get Microsoft Workstation added to my brand new computer for $350!  I am suspect of making these changes.  I tried to log on using another browser, through incognito, etc and nothing worked.  I have made several trips to my bank and they assure me all is working properly on their end.

Every time I am on the phone with QUickBooks for help, it is hours of going around in circles!!

Hey there, lmcjantzen. Let me help you sort this out.

Your bank’s connection may be interrupted for any of the following reasons:

  • If there is a minor or major update in your bank information such as the bank account number.
  • Update on your bank’s website. If you can't find your FI, you can request support for your bank and request it be added.
  • Update your Online Banking Login credentials.
  • Bank outage and other scheduled maintenance.

To get this sorted out, as an initial step, you'll want to visit your bank's website and copy its URL. Then, paste it in the Connect an account window's search box. This will let you log in to your correct bank. See the steps below:

  1. From the left menu, select Banking, then Banking.
  2. On the Banking page, select Add Account.
  3. In the Search field, enter the bank's URL (example: http://www.chase.com).
  4. Select your bank. If you see multiple options, you may have to repeat these steps to find the correct one.
  5. Enter your bank login on your bank's website, then select Continue.

Once connected, QuickBooks will automatically download your most recent transactions. I recommend editing, assigning, and categorizing your transactions. Also, you can match them to the existing entries in the software. Doing so will help you ensure the accuracy of your financial records.

If the issue persists, you'll want to bring in your statements by manually importing them using our WebConnect file: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Let me know the result of this troubleshooting in the comment below. I need to make sure this is resolved and you're back to running your normal business processing. Stay safe, have a good one!
