Error message while trying to efile 1099

I have 255 1099's to efile (and obviously send out). When I attempted to efile, I first received a message, "oops, something went wrong.", The next screen said "Way to go! We'll handle these 1099's from here". I looked in my "filed" 1099 screen and it shows there are no 1099's to show. I contacted Customer Support and was told there was already an active ticket for this error (INV-97577). Oh and did I mention I was also CHARGED $440 for the filing that DID NOT OCCUR! What am I supposed to do???? Quickbooks, are you going to get this error fixed? This is ridiculous! Please update with the status. I need to get this done.

Hi there, GS Tour. Let me share updates regarding this matter.

I completely understand the importance of filing your 1099 forms on time. However, as per checking in our records, the issue is still tagged as an ongoing investigation. Rest assured that our engineers are aware of this matter and are implementing measures so this gets resolved as soon as possible. We are committed to getting this sorted out swiftly.

For the time being, I recommend contacting our customer support team again. They have the necessary tools to verify the amount you've been charged despite the unsuccessful filing. You can also ask for timely updates regarding the investigation status.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help (?) icon at the top.
  2. On the Assistant tab, click Talk to a human.
  3. Enter your issue in the Type something field, then click the Send icon.
  4. Click on I still need a human.
  5. Select Get help from a human.
  6. You can either select Chat with us or Have us call you.

I appreciate your patience as we work on this. Please keep us posted if you have further queries when filing your tax forms. I'll be around whenever you need additional assistance. Keep safe.

Are there any updates on this issue? I experienced the same problem as the original poster and it has not been resolved after 10 days. I have tried calling customer support and they are not helpful at all - they don't seem to have any information about this issue, about the amount I have been charged, or any idea how to help me. They just keep telling me to check the same things over and over again and wanting to do a screen share which is pointless because I'm describing exactly what is showing on the screens they want to look at and what is showing on those screens is that my 1099s have not been filed. This is very frustrating.

Hello,

Yes, my issue was resolved, thankfully.

I had a Canadian address that I was trying to send the 1099 to. Once I cleared that up it went through.
Make sure they give you an INV number to refer to when you call. I think that helped expedite clearing up my issue because when I called I referred to that number and the response was immediate.
Keep calling or chatting with them.
🤞for you!
