estimate printing blank Subtotal, Sales Tax, and Total textboxes

I am creating an estimate for the first time and for some reason the data filed for Subtotal, Sales Tax, and Total are on the screen but the textboxes are blank, and No $$$ Amount is showing on the PDF, only the screen. The dollar AMOUNT is blank.  I have checked the Formatting and for "Footer" both the screen and print boxes are checked, so why is the estimate not showing the $$$ amount in these boxes? Please see PDF attached.

Any help please!

estimate printing blank Subtotal, Sales Tax, and Total textboxes

Hello there, @Kindra.

I am here to share some troubleshooting steps to help you with your concern about the missing subtotal and total amount and the dollar sign on your estimate in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

First, ensure that you're using the correct template. Next, you can consider verifying and rebuilding your company data. This can identify the most common problems in your company file, and the Rebuild tool can fix them. This should help resolve the issue you are experiencing.

Here's how to verify your company data:

1. Go to Window, then select Close All.

2. Click File, then click Utilities.

3. Choose Verify Data

Please follow the steps below to rebuild your company file data:

1. Go to FileUtilities, then click Rebuild Data.

2. Follow the prompt instructions, then select OK

3. Choose where you want to save your backup, then hit OK

4. Enter a new name in the File name. Click Save.

Moreover, I'm adding this helpful article as your reference in recording your invoice payments in QBDT: Record an invoice payment.

Return to this post if you have other concerns about estimates in QuickBooks Desktop. I'll be here to lend a hand.
