I had Etsy attached to my old QBSE account. It worked fine. I had to make a new one and now I can not get Etsy to integrate. Says internal sever error when I do it online. When I use the app it says the connection to Etsy isn't available right now. It has been that way going on two days. I have tried two different Etsy accounts and both my old and new QBSE accounts.. Is there an issue known of?

I found the integration with etsy and QBSE to be a simple one, by selecting a new bank account and clicking on ETSY. However, the interrogation doe snot work properly. Sales come through ok, deposits, transfers, and processing fees, all show up. But the myriad of listing fees, vat, and other fees which ETSY take, are not brought through. Subsequently there are a lot of expenses which are not being recorded. For example I sell and item for £270, i will see the processing fees of £10.99 but then the transfer is only £238 , its all there in ETSY but the other fees are not shown in QB over the year could represent several hundred of pound sin taxes and listing fees that are not being accounted for.. Simple question...why not ?

You can manually add the Etsy fees in QuickBooks Self-Employed if they aren't showing up in your bank transactions, Dave.

I'll personally send a product suggestion to our developers about it. While there's no exact explanation why there isn't any transaction fees from Esty after downloading, you can refer to this video tutorial how to manually record expenses: .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFTyJNYXF3g

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Totally impractical. There are dozens of small charges for each sale and transaction in ETSY . I did download them as a CSV, but QBSE doe snot allow me to import a CSV file to my ETSY account. If I have to enter the majority of the etsy account manually, (which is not realistic) then whats the point of the ETSY integration?

I don’t want to see you leave because of this integration issue, @Dave Wilson.

I understand the impact of any delay in resolving the connectivity issue between Etsy and QuickBooks Self-Employed. Allow me to help walk you through importing your Etsy transactions to QuickBooks.

Currently, our Product Developers are still working on releasing a permanent resolution for this ongoing issue. Rest assured, as soon as this is fixed, updates will be applied directly to your account.

On the other hand, to make sure your downloaded Etsy transactions will be successfully imported, kindly make sure that it has the correct data format. Your file must be a CSV file (comma-separated values). You may use either of the two available formats:

  • 3 Columns Template: It contains 3 columns for the Date, a Description of the transaction, and the Amount of the transaction.

  • 4 Columns Template: It has a Date column, a Description column, and both a Credit and a Debit column.

I'd also recommend contacting our Customer Care Team, for you to be included on the affected user's list. So you will received email notifications about this ongoing concern.

Updates about this on-going integration issue with Etsy and QuickBooks Self-Employed will also be posted through this thread. We appreciate your patience while we continue working on this. I'll be around if there's anything else you need.

I signed up for the QBSE and have heard from nobody! I don't know how to access it at all. I called Quickbooks and they have no knowledge of my account or how to help me. I contacted Etsy and have yet to hear back from them.

Some assistance would be appreciated!

Thanks for alerting me about this login concern, @LeightonJames.

If I get it correctly, you signed for your QuickBooks account via Etsy? If yes, allow me to make sure you're able to access your paid QuickBooks Self-Employed account.

To start with, when signing into your QuickBooks Self-Employed account, make sure to use the correct username. It could be a unique username or one different from your email address.

Can you still remember the username and password you used upon creating your new QuickBooks Self-Employed account? If not, let’s perform the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Login via https://selfemployed.intuit.com/login.
  2. Below "Sign In," button, select the link "I forgot my User ID or Password".
  3. To retrieve your account, type your phone number, email or the exact User ID.
  4. If you choose to enter your email address, you will receive an email where you can see the Reset Password link.
  5. If your email address is associated with other Intuit product, just choose the specific username for your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.
  6. You will then be able to create a new set of password for your account.

This should allow you to retrieve and access your QuickBooks Self-Employed account successfully.

Feel free to visit our Community page if there are any app features you’d like to get more familiar with. I’m always here to help.

Is this normal?...

I thought that QB syncs with Etsy and the data is going to be the same, but I have no idea why it is different... It’s 93K on 1099 and $79K in QB Self Employed based on the gross expenses pulled from Etsy’s multiple reports and manual calculations....

i am new to QB and to bookkeeping, so I don’t know if it is even normal or Etsy is supposed to be showing me the amount from 1099 form, so I can file my taxes?...

please help: I haven’t been able to do my taxes for 2018 and just missed another deadline for the Q2 of 2019, because I am trying to figure it out myself. I’m so frustrated that I feel like closing the shop because it’s a nightmare.....

i have no problem paying for upgrades and stuff - I just don’t know what to do....

Hello

why wouldnt you add an actual phone line support for an extra fee?...

For instance, I don’t want anything beyond a simple expense tracking app that can sync with my Etsy store.

I already tried to subscribe to QBO and looked into QBAdvanced and realized that it’s absolutely not for me, but it offers one valuable feature: phone support and an opportunity to talk to a live person. It makes a night and day difference for me.....

Hello JuliaS1907,

We're here to help you. QuickBooks Online's customer care is already included in your subscription. Aside from posting questions here in the Community, we can call you back or send us a message. Please click on the Help menu, click on Contact us, and enter a topic.

Etsy is a third-party app that allows you to sync your data to QuickBooks Online. Any information entered in Etsy aren't automatically created in QuickBooks Online. Based on the FAQs from their website, it'll take 1 hour to 24 hours to complete the setup. If you've got issues with Etsy, you'll need to reach out to their support team.

With regards to filing tax returns (1099), you'll need to do it manually. Our system no longer accept 1099 filing. Please go to the IRS website to get the blank 1099 form.

Let us know if you have any questions. We're here to help.
