Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, Steve213. I will be delighted to help you here! To better assist you, could you provide the report you're trying to export. In the meantime, once the column Currency is added to a report when exporting, it will appear as two separate columns. However, you can make changes for it to appear in one column using a text editor such as Notepad. Here is how:

Sasha, Thank you very much. I attach a report. The amount at 25 Feb 2020 should be reflected as 17936.46 in a single column. The 46 in the column Open balance is incorrect and belongs in the column Amount.
Please assist. Regards Steve 213
Dear SashaMC
Thank you for the response. I attach a report to illustrate my problem. I highlighted the item. The amount 17936 against the date 25 Feb 2020 should be 17936.46. However the 46 appears in the column Open balance instead of in Amount. Please assist.

Hi @Steve213,
I appreciate you for sharing the result. Let me help you fix the issue with the report in QuickBooks Desktop.
We can perform some basic troubleshooting to isolate and fix the issue. Let's first open a sample company file to run and export a similar report.
Here's how:
If you're getting the same output, I recommend you proceed with updating QuickBooks to the latest release. Please follow these steps:
Also, you can run the Verify and Rebuild Data utility in the system. The tool scan data issues within the company file and self-resolves them.
To verify data:
For rebuild data:

Hi AlcaeusF
Thank you for the advice. The sample report has the same problem. I re-run all updates. Verify and rebuilt data. the problem remains. It is a fairly recent problem that for the first time started occurring some time between Oct 2020 and Dec 2020.
Regards
Thanks for keeping us updated how the troubleshooting went through, Steve213.
I read all the responses in this thread and it looks like all of the possible troubleshooting steps and relevant articles have already been shared. You also mentioned that you used the Verify and Rebuild Data Utility Too to no avail.
In this case, I would recommend reaching out to our Technical Support Team. They can take a look at report and the exported file to check why it's giving you two separate columns for currency. Here's how:
You can also go to this link to reach out to them outside of QuickBooks: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/contact.
Support for QuickBooks Pro and Premier are open from Monday to Friday, in between 6 AM to 6 PM Pacific.

JenoP' I have resolved the issue. The decimal separator for the Currency setting for some reason changed to a comma from a point. Probably with an update of Windows or QB. I went to Windows, Control panel, Clock and Region Additional and finally to the Currency setting and changed it to a point instead of a comma. The decimal comma separator in Currency caused the report, after the comma of the separator, to become an additional column.
Thank you for all the help and assistance.
