File manager client refresh takes way too long!!

Why does it take so long for QB File Manager to update the files that exist for a client?

 

I added 1 new client, and then told QBFM what folders the files were located in.

 

After hitting "Refresh Client Files", it has now been running for over 30 minutes, and still is not showing any of the client's files.

 

How long can it take to search 3 file folders?????

Since company data are running slow and the added new client isn't updated on your account, we can run the QuickBooks File Doctor to detect and fix damage to your files. Beforehand, let's ensure you've downloaded your QuickBooks Desktop account to its latest release.

 

Once ready, we can now download and install QuickBooks Tool Hub. Here's how:

 

  1. Close your QBDT.
  2. Download the most recent version of the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. Once done, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to access the tool hub.
