Join nowHello, my company is using Quickbooks Online Advanced with Bill Pay Elite and QBO Payroll Core. Our accountant created a complicated Forecast for us in Excel that is very time consuming to update. I found the forecast feature in QBO, updated all of the numbers, then have discovered that I am not able to download it or print it out. I was very excited to use this feature, but I HAVE to be able to download it for the owners. Any suggestions? If I cannot solve this, I will unfortunately have to keep using Excel.
Hi there, @Jenifer.
Allow me to share some information on how you are going to download the forecast in QuickBooks Online.
Since you are unable to download the Forecast I'll show you a workaround. QuickBooks Online gives you the flexibility to generate reports to get insights about your business. You can access the forecast by customizing the Profit and Loss Detail Report and exporting it to Excel if you want to use your reports outside of QuickBooks. You can also export all your QuickBooks transaction data. We'll show you how:
Customize a report.
To export reports from QuickBooks Online to Excel, here's how:
Note: If you’re missing data when you open the report in Excel, the files are in protected view. In Excel, you’ll need to select Enable Editing to view the full report.

All this does is make more work. If you download this report as you have instructed, then you have to go through each line and create the averages yourself? Why can't we just download the forecast? It's stupid.
I understand the importance of this feature to your business, TwoD.
As of now, the functionality to download forecast isn't available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). However, we would love to hear your insights about having this option and recommend submitting feedback. This way, we can enhance your experience with the program and this recommendation will be shared with our Product Development team.
