I have a FX balance on my AR aging, the GL is correct so I don't want to affect that, but the subledger is wrong. How can I fix it?
When revaluing currency how do you get it to update the subledger, right now it only goes to the GL?
Hello, JEDeck
Thanks for joining us here in the QuickBooks Community. I'd be happy to guide you in the right direction.
Based on the information you've provided, the best course of action would be to contact our support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to verify your account details in a secure setting, as well as view your screen to better assist you. You can reach them by following one of the methods listed here.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach back out.
Hello, I reached out to your support team and after 45mins they said they were unable to help me and that a supervisor would call me back. That was two days ago.
They also said I could pay for the solution, which I think is unjust since the program isn't working correctly, that's why I posted to the community board as I was hoping someone else figured out how to fix it.
Thanks for following up with the Community, JEDeck. I appreciate your detailed information.
If you need to update your exchange rates, you can do so from the Currency List screen.
Here's how:
You can learn more about working with multicurrency in QuickBooks by reviewing our Set up & use Multicurrency article.
In regard to how you should go about fixing your subledger balance without affecting the GL account balance, I'd recommend working with an accounting professional. If you're in need of one, there's an awesome tool on our website called Find a ProAdvisor. All ProAdvisors listed there are QuickBooks-certified and able to provide helpful insights for driving your business's success.
In the event you're using an active subscription, there shouldn't be a request made to pay for support upon contacting Intuit. To confirm you're speaking with Intuit's official Customer Care team, you can get in touch with them from within your product:
They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research with you, and create an investigation ticket if necessary. Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.
You can learn more about phishing scams in our Identify suspicious activity, phishing scams, & potential fraud article.
I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have a lovely Thursday!
Hello,
I’m an accounting professional, and simply downloading the latest currency list doesn’t resolve the issue. I spoke directly with QuickBooks support, and they informed me that our subscription doesn’t include the level of support needed to address the problem. They assured me that a supervisor would call back within two days, but I’ve yet to receive any follow-up. If there is someone else I can reach out to, or a number for a supervisor directly please let me know.
