Congratulations on making your first post here, @cutgarden.
I see how time-consuming it is to be unable to update your employee tax. Let's perform some troubleshooting to get rid of the error you've encountered.
You may be experiencing some browser issues. To start, use a private window or incognito mode to open your QuickBooks Online account. It won't use the data from the existing webpage cache. Here are the shortcut keys:
- For Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge browser, press Ctrl + Shift + P
- For Google Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N
- For Safari, press Command + Shift + N
Once done, make the necessary changes. If this works, clear your browser’s cache and cookies to refresh the system. You can also switch to other browsers as an alternative.
Furthermore, I recommend contacting our Support Team if you still get the same error. They can help you figure out the reason behind this. Rest assured, the process will be conducted securely.
See this article to review the status of payroll tax filing: Check the status of your payroll tax payments or filings sent through QuickBooks Payroll.
I'm adding this guide to learn about printing a blank W-4 form for your employees: Enter federal Form W-4 in QuickBooks Payroll.
Please don't hesitate to tag my name if you need further assistance with handling your employees or taxes. It would be my pleasure to help. Take care!
