has any one ever had trouble with bank transactions not loading up? It will just go blank screen and get stuck.

Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to help you download your bank transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO), Dimas. Let us guide you the process.

Which bank are you trying to link? This detail is essential for us to offer you a specific solution. Also, you visit your financial institution's website to see if any announcements or maintenance updates could affect uploading the bank transactions. Here's how you can check:

  1. Go to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. If you're unsure what URL to use, find it by going to Bank transactions.
  3. Click Link account and search for your bank and select it. Then, copy the URL listed.
  4. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website. If you can sign in, it's a good sign that there isn't a major issue.
  5. On your bank's website, check your account for messages, notifications, or alerts.
  6. Then, look for any display issues as you navigate the website. These can block QuickBooks from downloading new transactions.
  7. Once done, check your bank’s website for any announcements about new security requirements.

If everything looks good, log in to QBO and go to Transactions. Then choose Bank transactions and press Update. You can check out this article on what to do if you don't see recently downloaded bank transactions: Bank errors and missing transactions in QuickBooks Online.

If you've verified everything on your bank's end and the issue remains where the screen turns blank and freezes, we recommend accessing QBO through an incognito window. This helps rule out any potential webpage issues. Here are the shortcut keys for opening an incognito window in various supported browsers:

  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

After starting a new private browsing session, log in to your account and check if this resolves the connectivity problem. If it does, clearing your browser's cache will help the program run smoothly and eliminate technical issues. You can also try using other devices and supported browsers as alternatives.

If you need to enter old transactions in the program, follow the steps in this article: Manually import transactions into QuickBooks Online.
