Has anyone else been knowingly overcharged for QB Live Bookkeeping, and has QB refused to acknowledge or address the error even when the bookkeeper attests to the error?

The sales team ran a "bait and switch". They insisted that the "algorithm" assessed our monthly expenses at a higher level than our actual accounting supported. They promised that the bookkeeper would be able to verify our monthly expenses and then the billing would be adjusted down to the appropriate level. After 12 months of trying to get this fixed, QB just auto-charged us for another 12 months at the incorrect amount. Has anyone else been stolen from by QB, and how were you able to get the issue rectified?

This isn’t the kind of experience we want for you, bluegrassbicycle.

I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Team so they can verify this and validate your account.

Unfortunately, no solution has been reached.

After going around and around with many different help technicians - each one passing me off to someone else and then back to the previous three in a frustrating and helpless loop - I finally reached someone who opened a help ticket. However, this is not the first time that a help ticket has been created for this issue. The first time led to no solution and no follow up. So here we are again. My confidence that this issue will be resolved is nearly zero.

At the point of sales, over 12 months ago, we were instructed that the price for Live Bookkeeping was assessed at a level equivalent to an average monthly expense of $10,000.00, which would cost us $400/month. When I objected and insisted that our monthly expenses were less than $10,000, I was told that I was incorrect The salesperson deferred to the "algorithm" and insisted that our bookkeeper could verify. She insisted that we just needed to sign up at the higher rate "for now" and then it would be adjusted on the next billing cycle. That was over 12 months ago, and I have made multiple attempts to get this corrected throughout the year. Each time seems to be met with an inability or unwillingness to help, and a general disregard that the customer is upset about being overcharged. This should be a very simple fix, not one that takes months and months to sort out. The general apathy and ineptitude that we have experienced while attempting to get this issue resolved is incomprehensible, especially from a seemingly reputable company.

The solution is never to simply provide the customer with a link to a live chat. Please, someone, take some responsibility and see to it that this issue gets resolved instead of handing it off to someone else, over and over again.
