Has anyone gotten an "Invalid occupational code" error on a valid occupational code?

I am trying to set up a new employee to be paid this month and won't let me save without an occupational code.  However, when I enter the code (which I have confirmed is valid) it gives me an "Invalid Occupational Code" error.

Has anyone gotten an "Invalid occupational code" error on a valid occupational code?

Good morning, @kwindle

Thanks for taking the time to reach out.

For this one, I recommend performing basic troubleshooting steps. In this manner, we can eliminate common errors that may occur in your account. To start, please open your browser's private window. It isolates the cache, which is the common cause of a browser's unusual behavior.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

Once you're using a private window, let's see if you still get the invalid occupational error message when setting up your employee. You'll want to clear the browser's cache if you do so successfully.

However, if you experienced the same after following the steps above, it would be best to contact our Payroll Support Team. This way, they can look into your account securely and provide fixes in no time.

I'm here if you have any additional questions or concerns. Take care!
