Having trouble adding bank account and routing number to Vendor profile: receive error msg saying "something's not quite right--an application error has occurred..."

Hi there, @jared-kopp. There are a few reasons why you are experiencing this issue, if you happen to be a regular user of the account it would mean that you only have a limited access, which would explain why you cannot add a vendor.

On the other hand, if you are the company admin of the QBO account, the problem may be related to your browser. I’ll outline some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve this issue so that you can successfully add your vendor.

Before moving forward, try adding your vendor using a private or incognito window. This mode prevents the storage of cache files and internet data. If you're still unable to add the vendor, the next step is to clear your browser's cache and cookies. Doing this is crucial for addressing such issues, as accumulated cache and cookies over time can lead to slow performance and various glitches. Regularly clearing them will enhance your browsing experience and ensure that QuickBooks functions optimally.

Here’s how to do it:

For Safari:

  1. Open Safari and click on Safari in the menu bar.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Go to the Privacy tab.
  4. Click on Manage Website Data.
  5. Select Remove All or choose specific sites, then click Remove.

For Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome and click on the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Scroll down and click on Privacy and security.
  4. Click on Clear browsing data.
  5. Choose a time range and select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
  6. Click Clear data.

If the issue continues, I strongly encourage you to contact our Live Support Team for a comprehensive investigation. They have the right tools and expertise to thoroughly review your account and find effective solutions to resolve the issue. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we want to make sure everything functions smoothly for you.
