Is there a way to have the line items copied from an existing PAID sale or invoice into a refund receipt so I don't have to copy them all over manually? Some of the items are the same account but some are different accounts so I want the the refunds tracked properly for reporting. Thanks. *edited, refund not sales*

Currently, QuickBooks Online (QBO) does not have the option to copy the items from your invoice to your refund receipts. I can see how beneficial it is for your business. It can be hassle-free and enable you to save more time entering the items into multiple refund receipts.
With this, I recommend you send feedback directly to our product engineers. This way, they’ll get notified of the features that benefit the number of business owners and ease their workloads.

Since we constantly consider your suggestions when updating our products, you can check the status of your feature request in our Feedback forum. The more requests we receive for it, the more likely it is that future enhancements will incorporate this.

Somehow I mistyped this question and I meant refund and not sales receipt. I want to create a refund receipt from a sale or invoice.
I'm joining the thread to share some insights about refunding a processed sale in QuiickBooks, @dogowner.
You can create credit memos or refund receipts for this transaction. This way all the product quantities are returned to the inventory. However, the only limitation we have for this is that it doesn't automatically copy the data of the invoice being refunded. You will need to add the products you're refunding manually, that's why my colleague suggested that you send a product feedback for our developers.
