How can I find the 1099 an employer uploaded into Quickbooks

Hi there, Melissa.

I'm here to guide you in finding the 1099 Form that your employer has uploaded into QuickBooks.

First, you need an invitation from your employer or client to fill out your W-9. If you're already using QuickBooks Self-Employed, you can ask them to send the invite to your email address associated with the account. If you don't have an account, you can create a limited QBSE account for your forms.

You can also make changes to your W-9 before your employer submits your 1099-MISC to the IRS.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed. Use the same account you used to fill out your W-9.
  2. Go to your profile with the Gear ⚙ icon and select Tax Profile.
  3. Make the necessary changes.

After your employer submits your 1099 Form to the IRS, you'll receive an email when it's ready to view. You can view your QuickBooks Self-Employed account on the left menu, head to the Clients menu, and select the Tax Forms tab.

If your 1099s need to be corrected before or after filing them, you can ask your employer to correct or change 1099s using QuickBooks.

Please don't hesitate to leave a reply. I'm always here to assist you with any information regarding your 1099s in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
