How can I keep a digital record of my QBO accounts when I close my company?

You may have 2 options:

1. Convert your data to a QB Desktop file format as archive and purchase a one time license for QB Desktop 2021 to open your file anytime.

2. Cancel your QB Online account and resubscribe every 12 months.

I agree with Fiat. In addition to that, you can also download a copy of your data before closing your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. The program will allow you to export your company records such as lists, reports, and other info. Then, saved them on your computer. 

Let me guide you on how:

1. In your QBO account, navigate to the Settings icon.
2. Next, select Export Data.
3. Then, click the Reports option and set the date range.
4. Add or remove items from the Reports and Lists tabs by toggling the slider.
5. Once ready, select Export to Excel.
6. You'll be prompted with a confirmation when the export is finished.
