I use Chrome with QBO and starting earlier this year, my normal way of viewing an existing invoice results in QBO just spinning and not showing me the invoice that I'm requesting to edit/view. I need to view prior invoices every time I invoice a client so that I can make sure I'm not creating a duplicate invoice for the same service.
My workaround has been to use the "incognito window" in Chrome, and then my navigation to view an existing invoice works perfectly. However, this is inconvenient and I want to be able to NOT have to do this workaround.
Please help.
I know how to resolve your concern in viewing existing invoices, @chrystalcpa. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps so you don't have to open an incognito window to access these transactions.
Since opening the existing invoices works in the private window, this can be due to cache-related issues accumulated within your regular browser. Please know that it can affect the program's performance and hinder users from using some features in the program. Thus, clearing it is the way to go.
Here's how to do it in Chrome:

This solution did not work. I even cleared the cache twice and closed out of the browser completely and completed these steps multiple times, each time closing out of my browser completely. When I try to "edit" any prior invoice for my client. The browser actually doesn't "spin", but simply produces a blank outline of all the invoice fields.
I've found another "workaround" which is to select "print" the invoice to a PDF file on my computer screen instead of selecting the "edit" function. Still not great.... basically QBO leaves me no easy way without using "incognito" mode to use the "edit" function for an existing invoice. Super annoying. Any other suggestions or can you just have the developers switch it back to the way it was when it used to work properly?
