You can only file the 1099 form for the year 2023 at the moment. I'll guide you through what you can do about this, Angela.
1099s are due to the IRS and your contractors by January 31. Therefore, you can e-file your 2024 1099s starting January 31, 2025, with e-filing available until April 30. Also, the reason 2023 is currently displayed is that 1099 forms are filed for the previous year, so you're expected to file the 2023 form at this time.
You can generate and utilize the Transaction Detail report or the Contractor Payments report that provides 1099-related information as a basis or reference for filing the form. I've also added the list of reports that you can use to view useful information : Run Payroll Reports.
