How do I change the register sort from names to dates

Hello, H5.

I'll show how you can change and sort the register from names to dates.

We can select Date, Type, Number/Ref from the Sort by drop-down menu located inside the bank register's screen. See screenshot on where to locate it:

However, this sorts the transactions from oldest to recent (as opposed to recent to oldest). We can scroll down to view the recent entry in the register.

An alternative way to review and sort your register is to run a quick report. Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to List, then select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Locate the bank account, then right-click on it.
  3. Select QuickReport
  4. On the report settings toolbar, select Date from the Sort By drop-down menu.
  5. Beside the drop-down menu, click the AZ button to sort it from descending or ascending (or vice versa).
