Join nowHello,
In Quickbooks Enterprise, I currently am trying to make an invoice that shows 20 of the same item but each item has a different bin number. So Quickbooks is showing 20 lines on the invoice saying "1 each", instead of one line saying "20 each". It is the exact same item, same price just different lot and bin numbers. How can I consolidate these line items of "1 each" to have one line item that says "20 each".? There is also another item with the same issue that id like to put on this invoice as well. Please help, it looks silly if I don't fix it.
Thank you so much!
Glad to see you here in the Community, @JSCPA.
In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), we're unable to combine items with different bin numbers. Also, the price will be base on the items.
Though, we can separate the line items on the invoice to enter those transactions. Before that, we need to turn on first the Advance Inventory settings. Here's the link: Turn on Advanced Inventory.
Here's how:

Hi Maybelle,
Thank you for your nice quick reply. I believe I am out of luck if I cannot show one line per item (even though there are multiple bins).
I am confused on the rest of your reply, I already have advanced inventory on. I do not understand "Though, we can separate the line items on the invoice to enter those transactions" and I am confused on the rest of your answer.
Thank you for trying, I appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jonathan
I'd like to share some clarifications regarding the response presented by my peer above, @JSCPA.
My colleague is referring to the default lines on the invoice, which separates each item. Please see the screenshot attached for your reference:
Know that you'll need to enter each Bin number separately since combining them isn't available in QuickBooks Desktop. It only allows you to choose one bin location per line item.
