Hello, Shane. Currently, there is no specific accounting role that limits the type of accounts a user can access or view in your Chart of Accounts (COA). Let me share more details on this.
If you want to assign a user role that can categorize and reconcile credit card transactions, you can choose from either Standard All Access or In house Accountant. However, granting these roles does not limit your users to seeing specific accounts from your COA.
On the other hand, we recognize how this feature can greatly enhance your workflow. With that said, you can send feedback to our product developers. Your suggestions can influence future updates and improvements. Here’s how you can submit them:
- Head to the Gear icon, then select Feedback.
- Enter your ideas or recommendations in the box provided.
- Once done, submit it.
Also, feel free to refer to this article for additional information on the topic: User roles and access rights in QuickBooks Online and Intuit Enterprise Suite.
Once you finish reconciling, QuickBooks Online automatically generates a reconciliation report for you. Here's an article on how you can view them: How do I view, print, or export a reconciliation report?
Please feel welcome to return to the thread if you have more questions about assigning user roles. The Community team is available around the clock to assist you. Take care.
