How do I deactivate my account

Hi Derek,

We’re sorry to see you go, but I’m here to assist you with deactivating your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account to prevent future charges.

The cancellation process depends on where you initially subscribed. If you signed up through a mobile app store, you’ll need to cancel your subscription directly through the app store.

If you purchased your subscription online from Intuit, follow these steps to cancel your account:

  1. Sign in to the Intuit Account Manager.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Products & Billing, then choose your company name to access your subscription page.
  3. Locate the product you want to cancel, then click Cancel.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions. Once the cancellation is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation.

After cancelling your QBO account, you'll have read-only access to your data for one year. For more details, refer to this article: What happens to my QuickBooks Online data after I cancel?
