Hi there, Gustin. We can delete an existing bill by navigating to your expense transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Allow me to walk you through the steps.

All bills created, whether paid or unpaid, are stored in the Expense transactions. You can delete or modify them by going to the Bills section.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Expenses, then select Bill.
  2. Locate the transaction you want to delete or modify.
  3. Under the Actions column, click the dropdown button.
  4. Click View/edit bill to modify it. Then, click Delete bill to remove it from your account.

Another way to find your contractor's bill is by navigating to the Vendor list in QBO.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Expenses, then click Vendors.
  2. Locate the contractor that's associated with the bill.
  3. Once found, click it. Then, look for the bill.
  4. Click View/edit to modify. Select Delete if you want to remove it.

If you haven't set up your contractors, refer to this article to track them for 1099s.

Furthermore, refer to this article on managing your business expenses and how to record your bills one at a time.

It's a pleasure interacting with you today, Gustin. If you have any other concerns or challenges about managing your bills in QuickBooks, please click the Reply button. We are here to help you 24/7.
