Thank you for sharing your concerns about the Business Feed feature in QuickBooks Online, susan. The option to completely remove the Business Feed isn't available. For now, I suggest sharing your ideas with our product development team.
They can evaluate your feedback and consider implementing changes in the next update.
Here's how:
Additionally, you can customize your navigation menu in QuickBooks Online. The navigation menu has been made easier to manage for both accountants and business owners, featuring a consolidated menu shared across both the business view and accountant view.
Moreover, you can also personalize QuickBooks Online according to your preferences by adjusting the company settings.

did you figure out how to get rid of this? I was just told it was a new feature in beta and it could not be removed.I see it on one of my companies but not the other. I don't know if they are just trying to make this software as user un-friendly as they possibly can or what, but between all the pop up ads, wasted screen space and "features" that are either useless or a waste of time, I'm on the hunt for something else.
I can see how the Business Feed option in QuickBooks Online (QBO) affects your navigation when performing specific tasks in your company file, @JTH_FW. I recommend sending a feature request to our Product Development Team to resolve your inquiries promptly.
By sending a recommendation to our engineers, they can evaluate your suggestion and consider it for future program updates. Also, this is to ensure the users can seamlessly implement new features within their workflow in QBO. To begin, here's how:
For more details, please see this article: Give feedback on QuickBooks products and services.
On the other hand, I recommend exploring this page to get updates regarding QBO's new features and changes: Firm of the future.
You can continue to reply in the comment section if you need my assistance accomplishing specific tasks within the program or if you need a helping hand navigating through the new features. I'll respond as soon as possible to resolve your concerns, @JTH_FW. Keep safe.
I sent feedback but it's still there. Wait, that's always your answer. lol!
Oh wait, this is like telling AI to turn itself off. What a joke QBO has become.
Is there anyway you can update this canned response to every complaint about QBO? Surely your AI software can change the response each time it posts so we can think maybe there is a real person in the background?
How about you STOP IMPLEMENTING UNASKED FOR FEATURES without a way to disable them???
Just gonna say it now, hopefully I am wrong. I see this "business feed" becoming just another way for Intuit to monetize our screen space. Watch for annoying advertising coming to a "feed" near you.
I seriously doubt you are wrong. All of the "improvements" Intuit has shoved down our throats are simply ways to enhance their ability to advertise services unrelated to the bookkeeping we are trying to do.
How about YOU tell them that we're tired of all the crap they're putting in the way of the product we're paying for. Dashboards aren't very customizable when the top HALF of the page is junk that is forced on us, and the footer of the page is MORE JUNK for Intuit to sell us, like payroll, payment processing, etc.
This is really getting tiring. Time to look at your competition, even if their price is higher.
It's annoying and insulting to constantly see this junk on the pages we use to look at our business every day.
The information on the Business Feed is so useful. I really don't pay any attention to it, I don't need to know how many invoices are overdue, etc. I have some invoices that I have to wait till the government decides to pay them. Do you think sending a canned letter to some clerk in a government office is going to get me paid quicker? DUH, that truly is ARTIFICIAL intelligence.
This afternoon, I decided to read the one item in the business feed that popped up. It was telling me I had received $660.00 in payments to outstanding invoices. Another big DUH, yes, I inputted the deposits, I knew I received $660.00 in deposits when I physically deposited the checks in my bank account.
I fail to see how any of these AI outputs in QB are supposed to help me run my business. Maybe they make sense to a programmer sitting in the parents' basement writing code, but to a business owner, the best description is a distraction.
Ah, the programmers came up with a new way to manage my screen and force me to click off an advertisement. This morning they have a green bar across the top of the screen, blocking out almost 1/2" of display, reminding me that tax returns are due October 15. Doesn't mention that is only if you filed for an extension.
I have a CPA do my taxes, I wouldn't trust Intuit to deal with my taxes.
