Hello EmEssMarie2U. I appreciate you letting us know about the date situation on your mileage tracking.
You can enter mileage from a past event by signing in to QuickBooks Online using a web browser or your phone's browser.
Here's how:
If you’re unable to select a date using the Trip date picker, try manually entering the date in the MM/DD/YY format. Alternatively, you can save the Trip using the system-assigned date first, then update the date afterward.
Here's how to edit the Trip:
If that still won't work, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the app, or switching to incognito mode or another supported browser to eliminate any stored data or cookies that may interfere with the normal process of the Trip Date field.
Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Right. On the pc, it absolutely works that way. I should have clarified that it was on my iPad. It lets me select a date I want, but then the “save” button turns gray and it won’t let me do anything else. I thought maybe I was trying to get there incorrectly, but not sure.
And thank you for the idea to just update the correct date later! Yes!!!!!
I'm glad to hear that my colleague, ThomasJosephD, was able to assist you, EmEssMarie2U!
Yes, entering mileage for a past event works seamlessly when signing into QBO through a browser. And the workaround in the app is definitely a great alternative! Thanks for coming back with an update and confirming it worked—love to see the big Yes!
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season!
