I have Quickbooks Desktop Pro Plus 2022. I am trying to change an income account in my Chart of Accounts that is Inactive to Active again. I have read through all of the solutions I can find here, but none will work for me. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I don't see any option to make the account active. Thank you!
Good day, @JULISHAR,
Making sure you're able to reactivate an account in the Chart of Accounts is something I can help you with. When you’re ready to use the account again, follow the steps below.
If that option to Include Inactive is grayed out, it means you don't have any inactive accounts. If that happens, search the name of the income account in the Look for account name or number box, and pressing Search.
Here's an article with the details on how to manage and modify your Chart of Accounts: Add, edit, or delete accounts in QuickBooks Desktop.
Post here again if you have other questions or concerns about this topic or need any help with other QuickBooks Preferences. I'm always here to assist you.
Thank you for your prompt response. When I get to the screen to Edit the account, the "Account is Inactive" is grayed out and I can't choose it.

To Verify your data, here's how:
If it detects any issue, proceed with the Rebuild Data process. Here are the steps how:

It looks like the account you are trying to 'reactivate' is a subaccount of another account. My guess is THAT account is also inactive, which is preventing you from 'reactivating' the account you want to use. Uncheck that 'Subaccount of' button and you should be able to reactivate the account.
