Buy nowHello. How can I remove the automatic prefix of "Estimate" to subject lines? I make it a point for most customers to know that my proposals are just that -- and NOT and estimate. Thank You.
We can remove the automatic prefix of Estimate to your subject lines, @SnowGhost so that your customers will know that it is a proposal not an estimate.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you'll need to customize the labels and titles on your sales forms to remove the automatic "Estimate" prefix from the subject lines in your proposals.
To do so, here's how:
3.Click the New Style dropdown menu, then select Estimate
4.From the Content tab, click the Pencil icon of the header part.
5.In the Form section, uncheck the Form Names to remove the word Estimate.
6.Proceed to the Emails tab, then modify the Subject section.
7.Hit Done.
Now, when you create a new proposal using the customized form style, it should display without the "Estimate" prefix or with the new title you specified.

Hi KiazzymaeC. Thanks for the details. I did that and unfortunately "Estimate - " comes through yet. Something tells me it has to do with a form type or something...distant memory from over a year ago when I initially tried to fix this.
Here are my screenshots..
Also, you can see I've unselected the "Estimate" checkbox, the preview pane shows it won't be there, but then "PROPOSAL" shows up in the email.
There should be an attached PDF that goes through the form settings, new estimate, and the email coming through with 'Estimate ' prefix in subject -as-well-as- "PROPOSAL" centered at top of form.
Thanks for you help!

Apparently not. You didn't even try it to see if your advice actually works, did you? Sheesh.
Take it easy BigRed..
We appreciate your response and consistent updates throughout this process, SnowGhost. I'd like to address a few important points regarding your inquiry.
First, we've taken the precaution of removing the attachment that contained sensitive information, including your email address and phone number, to safeguard your personal data.
Second, I want to clarify that we're unable to completely change the name of the transaction when emailing it to your customers.
The term "Estimate" is a fixed element in our email template and will continue to appear in the message sent to customers, regardless of any manual name changes made to the transaction.
We understand why you want to make some changes to the terms based on the details you've shared. Having said that, we recommend submitting a feature request to our development team. This is an excellent way to provide direct input on potential system enhancements.

Thanks. I've submitted the feedback. I imagine it'd be a simple change to add a checkbox that removes that automatic (forced) prefix.
