Buy nowDoes anyone know how can I ship using my customers ups account number with the new Quickbooks shipping manager
Using a customer's UPS account number in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Shipping Manager isn't advisable, Vincenzo.
QBDT requires users to have their own shipping accounts for processing shipments. This is because when you first access the QuickBooks Shipping Manager and select UPS, you'll get prompted to configure the service. Then, you enter the "Ship From" address and UPS account number only once.
So, if you don't have an account yet and use your customer's UPS account number, then this will be saved and used for your future shipments.
For more details about setting up and utilizing the new Shipping Manager, refer to this article: New Shipping Manager in QBDT.

Some customers will not pay for shipping charges unless we use their UPS account number. As a result, we will now need to generate our invoice and prepare a shipment label outside of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) before finalizing the invoice back in QuickBooks Desktop.
This is not making our lives easier, and I now wish that the shipping manager had never been updated.
A big thumbs down on the new and "improved" Shipping Manager!

The old shipping manager worked great for our needs.
The new shipping manager is lacking in basic functionality which we require to conduct business, such as Collect billing to customers' accounts.
We need the old shipping manager to remain available for use, unless/until the new shipping manager has full functionality required for conducting business.
I agree 1000% with this reply. We need the old Shipping Manager back until this new one is ready for prime time.
I am having the same issue. We need to be able to ship on customer's accounts.
