Found my error - I had posted a cheque to Accounts Payable by mistake. Every time I entered that supplier the side panel would open up. Now that I have correctly posted the cheque - the side panel no longer shows up when I enter a cheque for this supplier.
Thank you all for your help - This has been SOLVED.
Hello @Janet H ,
For now, the only way to get rid of the advertisements is by manually closing them through the X sign or the No thanks option. Since this is affecting the navigation when using the program, I'm personally taking note of your request regarding the popups.
In the meantime, I recommend visiting the QuickBooks Blog website to stay up to date on any updates or improvements on the online version. You can bookmark the link I'm adding down below:
https://quickbooks.intuit.com/blog/.
In addition to the information above, you can also reach out to our Support Specialists. Unlike in this public forum, they have the tools required to perform any escalations in the system whenever necessary on your behalf.
Here's how you can reach them:
Feel free to reach out to me for any questions you may have with the advertisements popping up when using QuickBooks. I'll be here to help.
Thanks Phuongthaob56
This is not advertisements. This is a feature that pops up when I am writing a cheque to the same supplier.
Also I am in Canada and work with Canadian software but something is wrong with my log in and I keep getting sent to the US community. I have tried to get help with many times but it keeps sending me back to the US.
There is no way to contact intuit because this is not very helpful when I need Canadian support.
Thanks again for your quick reply

Hi Janet H. I can see the importance of being able to work without getting the pop-up you've described above. I'll be happy to help you get to the bottom of this so you can continue being the best at your work. Were you always getting this pop-up or is this something new for you? When was the last you cleared cache and cookies on your browser? The reason I ask is that doing this is a great way to fix most browser issues. Here's an article that shows you how to clear cache and cookies on your browser. I'd like to get a visual reference of the pop-up message, could you send me a full screenshot with the URL of the site showing at the top? You're more than welcome to cover any personal info that may appear on the screenshot.
I used the wrong terminology - a side panel on the right side of the cheque opens beside the cheque I am writing and asks me if I want to :"add to Cheque" the previous cheque I wrote to the same supplier.
Hi Janet H,
Thanks for reaching out for clarity. It sounds like the side panel that asks you if you want to add the bill to the cheque and lists all the open bills. You simply have to click the arrow to collapse the panel. QuickBooks remembers the last transactions and will auto-fill the details if you have that setting turned on. So if it's closed on the current transaction, when you save it, the next one should automatically be collapsed. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Haven't had an opportunity to confirm as I have completed all the cheques. I will let you know once I have the time to look into this. Thank you for that suggestion I will confirm my settings as that would be very helpful.
Sounds good. Feel free to reach out when you can. :)

Well done! I'm happy you've resolved this on your end. You're more than welcome to reach back in case you need additional support. Otherwise, I wish you a great rest of the weekend. :)
