how do I STOP following a quickbooks community thread that's no longer relevant to me

I'm getting an email a couple of times a week about a discussion thread I'm no longer interested in. Can't see an obvious way to stop this.

Hi there, ibcbonaire.

 

I can share some tips on how you can rid of that emails.

 

By default, we're unable to turn off email notifications for a specific thread. Although, you can adjust the Notifications Settings in your QuickBooks Community profile so you won't receive emails from the new replies posted to the content you've subscribed to. I'll show you how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Community account.
  2. Click your profile.
  3. Select the Edit link below the Latest badges earned section.
  4. Go to the Subscriptions & Notifications tab, then choose Notification Settings.
  5. From the Email Notifications section, remove the checkmark in the Any comments on the knowledge base articles, blog articles, or events in boards I subscribe to option.

  6. Set the New replies posted to content I subscribe to and Responses to other replies I subscribe to option to Never.

  7. Click Save to complete the process.

The 'solution' you offered is not a real solution. Obviously, I want to be selective about which threads I continue to follow. WHY ON EARTH DOES QUICKBOOKS LET ME EDIT LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE IN MY COMMENTS BUT NOT THE NOTIFY ME BY EMAIL BOX???!!!!

MADDENING AND STUPID! 
Quickbooks just KEEPS giving me more and more reasons to try to find a different bookkeeping package.

Hi @ibcbonaire,

 

I absolutely get not wanting to get extra emails, we all receive way too many as it is.

 

Let me walk you through eliminating those notifications.

  1. Open the thread you want to unfollow.
  2. Click on the ellipsis (three dots) in the upper right corner.
  3. In the menu, click Unsubscribe.

That will turn off notifications for that particular thread. You’re all set!

shouldn't need to interact with four different reps for a period of three days to get such a simple answer!
