How do I view old financial exchanges in Quickbooks POS

I've got the steps you'll need on how to view your old financial exchanges in QB POS, bgolfer.

Here's how to view a corresponding QB record or transaction:

  1. Go to Point of Sale, then select Sales History.
  2. From the I want to menu, then select Show Financial Detail. The financial history window will display, showing the exchange status and containing a link to view the document.

I've got some articles about fixing Point of Sale transactions missing and a Finacial exchange link for additional reference and a guide:

I'd be glad to listen and help if you have any other questions in mind. You can post them here.

How do I view old financial exchanges in Quickbooks POS

Thank you. That is great for showing me sales history. However, not exactly what I am looking for.

We switched to this POS system in March and during that time, QB POS automatically posted some large transactions that greatly reduced our inventory in QB desktop. The other account that I do not recognize is POS inventory adjustments. This account has reduced our inventory with those auto journal entries by about $840k this year which is not correct... I'm looking to go back to March and find the financial exchange data for these journal entries. Is that possible?

How do I view old financial exchanges in Quickbooks POS

Yes, it's possible to find the financial exchange data you need in QuickBooks Point of Sale (POS), @bgolfer. Let me help share further details about this and guide you in pulling up the report you need so you can check those journal entries that reduced our inventory in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

The POS inventory adjustment account represents the values of items lost, damaged, or stolen. You'll have to check the auto journal entries created to verify why they've reduced your inventory in QBDT. To do this, you can pull up a Financial Exchange report and customize its date (i.e., from March to the present) to get the info you need. Here's how:

  1. From the Reports menu in Point of Sale, go to Financial Exchange.
  2. Select the report you need.
  3. Customize the report's date.
  4. Click Run.

In case you wish to know more about the process of sharing information between QuickBooks POS and QBDT, please see this article: Financial Exchange Overview.

Also, you may want to check out one of our Help pages as your reference to guide you about the financial exchange between QuickBooks POS and QBDT: Financial exchange help for QuickBooks Point of Sale.

Please keep me posted on how it goes in the comments below. If you have other concerns about viewing old financial exchange data in QuickBooks POS, I'm always ready to help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @bgolfer.
