Hi there, Julene. In QuickBooks Online, there is no draft option when creating an invoice. Instead, you may click the Save button if you don't want to send it to your customer. This may not be sent to your customer, but it still affects your Accounts Receivable.
If you need a draft for which you need confirmation from your customer, you can use the Estimate feature. This does not affect your books or balances and you can revise it as many times as needed.
Once the customer approves, you may convert the estimate to an invoice and send it to them.
If you need anything else related to QuickBooks, don't hesitate to reply. We're always here to help.
