How to find out when Connect to PayPal will support multi-currency in QBO

QBO Support directed me to a QB community article that documents that the Connect to PayPal app does not currently support multi-currency.  How can we find out whether and when the functionality is scheduled to be included in the product?   We would like to provide information to our client if it will be included in the near future so they know how long a workaround will need to be used.

Thanks for your help.

How to find out when Connect to PayPal will support multi-currency in QBO

Hello lmaklary,

If that can be appropriate to you - there is a third party app(and I am using a singular form - as I know only one who does that) that works mostly similary to Connect to PayPal, nevertheless it is also proceed Stripe transactions and supports multi-currency. It is free to use syncing up to 50 transactions per month.  The name is Business Payments. It also has other useful features such as reverting synced transactions - called Rollback, or ability to go back in time with no limits to extract any historical transactions from both payment systems. Might be the one you want to try.

How to find out when Connect to PayPal will support multi-currency in QBO

Thank you for the information, including the links on expected behavior for Connect to PayPal.  I have 1 additional question and 1 comment:

1)  Please confirm that the following statement is accurate:

A published Product Roadmap is not currently available to QBO administrators, including accountants,  to let us know what new features to expect to see in the upcoming releases.  The Online Blog informs us of what new features have been added.

2) As far as the multi-currency functionality requirements, we are looking for the Connect to PayPal app to handle all PayPal transaction types (e.g. incoming sales, vendor payments) for all currencies used.  In our situation, we use 3 different currencies  (USD, EURO, and GBP) in the 1 PayPal account, with USD as the Home Currency in QBO.     If it's helpful for product development to have additional requirement details from an end user,  I am willing to provide them.

I've gone through the setup for this and up to the stage where the "sync" button appears but there is absolutely nothing about multi-currency anywhere.

How to find out when Connect to PayPal will support multi-currency in QBO

Hello oliverm,

Thank you very much for your comment.

The multi-currency have to be enabled in QuickBooks Online first. And then, at the app's settings there is a multi-currency tab appears where you will be able to set up accounts for the transactions in different currencies.

If you will have any difficulties with that or either related matter feel free to ask a question to the online specialists for the quick assistance.
