Thanks for your reply Julia - My experience has been the INTUIT level 1 customer support team does not have the tools or training to clear any sort of "off script" situation. The investment of time spent by the user to get through the INTUIT "troubleshooting" process is significant, and generally never resolved with a single interaction. I'll post our experience.
For the thread - You state above
"Also, you can check when QuickBooks deposits customer payments into your bank account. "
Not possible - neither a NEW Transaction SALES RECEIPT nor a change to a scheduled recurring transaction (Sales Receipt) can be made without the error being generated.
Scott
I 100% agree with this statement. Quickbooks Online help is absolutely atrocious. They have no clue what they are doing. What is even scarier is they will give tax advice on 1099's, some of which is to commit fraud. And they are even happy to do this in writing! After 2.5 hours on a chat, the person still didn't have a clue what they were talking about and had lied to me multiple times about having had run it through to the supervisor. And then still told me to just make up a TIN to put into a 1099 NEC and then to E-file it! Wow!
