Hello, we are using QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions: Manufacturing and Wholesale 23.0. When I use the email function to send out estimate, it automatically creates an email with the estimate as an attachment, and names that file Est_100_[Company Name]_[random number].pdf. Is there a way to:
1. change the "Est" in the beginning of that file name? Ideally I would like it to say "Quote".
2. get rid of the random number at the end of file name? It is not the date nor user ID, it seems to be meaningless.
Thanks in advance,
Ben

Hi Rubielyn,
Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it nonetheless. Just out of curiosity, do you know what the random numbers at the end mean?
Hello, @LightingB.
I'll share some information regarding the random numbers at the end of the file name of your estimate.
The random number at the end of the automatically generated PDF file name for emailed estimates in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is a unique identifier assigned by the program. Even though it may look random, it serves the important purpose of ensuring each attached estimate file has a unique name.
