Buy nowQuickbooks tries to connect to the internet and fails. But it keeps trying and uses the system resources in the computer so nothing else works very well. How can I run it without that annoying process running.
Thanks for reaching out to us for help, @pubs60657.
I wanted to ensure you're able to use QuickBooks without any interruption. However, I will need some more information about the problem you encounter.
Can you please tell me what you're trying to do and what process are you pertaining to? I'd like to know which feature or part in QuickBooks that is not working properly.
Also, I'd like to know if here's any error or alerts when QuickBooks tries to connect to the internet? Lastly, is the program installed locally or is it accessed over a network?
I'm gonna need those information to understand the problem better and to provide the best resolution to you.
I'll be waiting for your reply so I can help you further. You can also mention my name so I'd get notified of your response.
Answers to your questions:
Q: What are you trying to do and what process are you pertaining to? I'd like to know which feature or part in QuickBooks that is not working properly.
A: ALL of QuickBooks is working slow and jerky. It acts like it is trying to connect to the web/internet but is unable to so the cursor is blinking between the "select" arrow and the hourglass. Should one DARE to click on help you get a bank screen displaying 3 dots blinking in a "waiting" mode configuration. Then you are effectively banned from using Quickbooks until you call up a task manager, "End Task" for QuickBooks and then come back in.
Q: Also I'd like to know if here's any error or alerts when QuickBooks tries to connect to the internet?
A: NO!!! there are no error messages nor "Alerts".
Q: Lastly is the program installed locally or is it accessed over a network?
A: It is installed locally. It is a single copy and is used solely by me, the bookkeeper.
