Dear QB team,
Please advise how to set a sale price and category for a bundle item?
- same product might be used for different bundles
- sometimes these products are not assigned with a selling price
- price of the bundles will change depending on seasons or promotion.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Jacky
Being able to assign sales prices and categories to your Bundles is an awesome idea, sychan. I'm here to share some insights.
Currently, adding categories to your bundle items isn't available in QuickBooks Online. While this isn't an option, I can share two workarounds you can consider performing.
First, you can assign the categories to each of the products or services that make up the bundle. Second, you can enter the category in the Description column so you can take note of it.
As for the sales price, I'd suggest editing the rate of each item on the invoice. This way, you'll be able to change the amount depending on the promotion. For your visual reference, I've attached a screenshot below.
You can also send a product suggestion directly to our Product Development team. This helps us improve your experience with the program. Here's how:
When it’s time to restock, you can order inventory right in QuickBooks. Then, track them for accurate reporting. For more tips, please review this article: Reorder supplies from vendors.
Additionally, you can use reports in QuickBooks Online to know your best sellers, what’s on hand, the cost of goods, and more. For more insights, please check out this article: See Inventory Status and Performance.
I've got your back if you have more questions about managing your items, sychan. Just leave your reply in the comment section so I can assist you further. Take care and have a good one.
Hello @CharleneMaeF
Thanks for your reply.
The workarounds do not fit our business operations.
"Bundle" is a great feature yet we have to give it a pass.

Jacky
