Get 50% OFF QuickBooks for 3 months*
Buy nowRecently I've been getting the "I'm not a robot" prompt almost every day. This is such a hassle to text a code, etc when I need to get work done.
1. Why would a robot use QBO? Honestly.... especially signing in to QBO and selecting a company?
2. Why is there not a "trust this device" option that would stop this at least for 6 months on a device? That should be there or remove it all together.
Should be interesting answers... tell me it's for my "security".
And yes, I have made this suggestion already MANY times through QBO.
Good afternoon, @bvstone.
Thanks for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community. I hope your day is going great so far.
As a workaround, to avoid receiving the two-step verification when logging into your account is to add (app.qbo.intuit.com) as a trusted site to your browsers. Adding Intuit as a trusted site prevents your browser from potentially blocking site content.
To make Intuit's URL a trusted site in your browser, follow these steps:
1. Add Intuit: Safari
2. Add Intuit: Google Chrome
That should do the trick. However, please know that this request pop's up to safeguard your data and ensuring your identity. Whenever you attempt to sign in from an unrecognized device, we will consistently request verification to confirm that it is indeed you accessing your account.
Please don't hesitate to let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. Take care!
It's not a pop up, it's when signing in it makes you check a box that says "I'm not a robot" then send you a code through SMS that you have to enter.
Cookies are already enabled. Why you think this will stop this I have no idea. But I expected what I perceive as a non-answer.
Sometimes no answer is better than the wrong answer.
Ya, of course this didn't work. I swear it's asking me at least once a day, sometimes more. FIX THIS.
If you have time to add this Im not a Robot garbage I would hope you could fix subtotals and discounts. Don't know what I'm referring to? See this:
Thanks for following up with the Community, bvstone. I appreciate you performing Tori B's steps.
When you sign in to QuickBooks, your account will remain logged in for as long as you have your Sign me out if inactive for setting set to. This can be anywhere from 1 to 3 hours after signing in.
If you need to make changes to your Sign me out if inactive for setting, you can do so from your Account and settings screen.
Here's how:
You can also submit feedback about having to perform login verifications while signing in:
Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing the Product Updates page.
If there's any questions, I'm just a post away. Have a great Wednesday!
