I cannot download my employee credit card transaction from Chase after changing the primary card #

Hi,

I recently had fraudulent charges and had to change the primary (boss' )credit card #.

In the past, I had a main Chase cc account and 2 subaccounts under the main account for downloading transactions. It was set up like this:

Main account-- Chase cc ( for reconciliation)

Sub account1- boss' cc ( for downloading transactions, this is the primary account)

Sub account2- employee cc ( for downloading transactions)

When I changed boss' credit card #, I was told by Chase it won't affect the employee cc. Since then, I am not able to down load the employee cc transactions anymore. Chase only offers the boss' cc ( primary account)  to be linked. I thought, maybe they lumped both cards' transactions into this account. But when I checked, there are only boss' cc transactions, no employee cc transactions.

Is this a bug? How could download the employee card transactions now? thanks for your help

It's a pleasure to have you in the Community today. I've got your back, and I'll point you in the right direction to get this sorted out so you can access your employee transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I'd recommend reaching out to Chase bank's customer care team. This way, they can explain why you can't see the transactions in your other subaccounts. The customer care team can also help you find a way to download your employee's credit card transactions so you can get them into your QuickBooks Online account.

You can also check this page to learn more about bank account connectivity to QBO: About bank or credit card subaccount setup.

In addition, here's an article to help you add transactions into your QBO account: Manually add transactions to account registers in QuickBooks Online.

Also, feel free to check this page to learn more about managing banking transactions: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Our door is open 24/7 if you need further assistance downloading your employee's credit card transactions in QuickBooks. You can also post again if you need help performing specific tasks in QuickBooks. As always, I'll be here, and I'll gladly help you out again. Take care, and have a good one.

I cannot download my employee credit card transaction from Chase after changing the primary card #

Hello, I did reach out to Chase, and I was not sure if that really helped. Chase verified everything worked from their end.

Here is what I did to " resolve this".

-- I created new connections with newly created credit card accounts in QBO

-- merge new accounts to existing account to " transfer" the bank connection to the original credit card accounts

This is definitely a bug in QBO, it used to happen smoothly when there is credit card number change.

Please do not break what works! thanks
