Have read all the posts of the same issue and none relates to me..
File is updated. Tool hub is updated. I have logged into my Intuit account and confirmed all details..still cannot email invoices!!!
I will NOT even try to reduce my security settings that is just absurd. WHAT IS THE TRUE FIX.
Hello @MonzBirdz,
Thank you for updating us about the tasks you've performed to get back on track. Let me provide some clarification about emailing invoices in QuickBooks Desktop.
The QuickBooks Desktop for Windows 2018 version is already a discontinued product. Access to services for older versions, like e-invoicing, is no longer supported.
As of now, the supported versions are 2020, 2021, and 2022. I recommend upgrading your existing QuickBooks to continue using this feature for the invoices.
I have a link here that you can visit to learn more about the service discontinuation: QuickBooks Desktop service discontinuation policy.
Also, In supported QuickBooks versions, you can send transactions through Webmail or Outlook. I've attached an article you can check out for more details about how to link your email: Connect your email to QuickBooks Desktop.
Keep us posted if you need more assistance sending invoices or managing QuickBooks. I'll be around to lend a hand. Have a great day.
@AlcaeusFI am using Windows 10..Quickbooks Pro. I have not had an issue until the last few months and each time I log in as suggested, the emails are sent.
Since this week however, I have been having the issue as previously stated. My issue seems to be a very common one based on the posts seen...it has nothing to do with upgrade...I need a desktop online (which is the only one quickbooks now provides) is inadequate and insufficient for our company.
I appreciate your suggestion, but it isn't a resolution.
Hello MonzBirdz, we appreciate you for getting back to us and considering the suggestion shared by my colleague.
I see that upgrading your QuickBooks isn't your option to fix the issue. Still, I recommend the same thing. However, you can give us a short call to check it further. We'll need to pull up your account in a secure environment and run a set of examinations.
Within your QuickBooks Company file, select QuickBooks Desktop Help from the Help menu. Or press F1 on your keyboard to bring up the same Help panel. To route you to the correct support expert, we need to know what type of question you have. Give a brief description of your issue and click Continue.
Alternatively, you can also use this link:
If you need more help regarding other tasks in QuickBooks Desktop, you can check our help articles: View/Browse Help articles.
Visit again if you need further assistance with emailing invoices. Also, you can post your other concerns here anytime. I'll help you in any way that I can. Take care always.
I would say that they quietly blocked this feature on outdated versions of QBD a few months ago. You may notice that from time to time you need to sign in using your Intuit ID to open your company files or create new ones.
Same issue happened to me a few weeks ago, I can't email invoices anymore. I use webmail (Outlook.com) and had problems before with Microsoft changing server settings, it could be the same thing happening now but it is near impossible to contact a human these days. I got in touch with QB concerning the problem but of course they want you to pay for an upgrade, which probably wouldn't fix the issue anyway. I am using QB desktop Pro 2016 and will move my files to an open source solution asap.
Good luck with it.
