There is no limit on the number of classes you can create, Michael.
Once you create a class, it will automatically added in the drop-down box in the reclassify transaction. Since it's not appearing, you can try refreshing or reloading the page, as data often requires some time to synchronize and update.
If you've reloaded the page and the classes still don't show up. I recommend signing into your account and attempting to create a class in an incognito or private window to identify whether it's a browser-related issue.
Here are the shortcut keys to open incognito mode in popular browsers:
- Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P.
- Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N.
- Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N.
- Safari: Command + Shift + N.
If the classes are successfully created and appear in incognito mode, the next step is to clear your browser's cache to remove any data that may be preventing the classes from being added and available in the drop-down box. Alternatively, you can add a new class using a different supported browser.
QuickBooks Online allows you to run reports by class to evaluate your sales, costs, and profitability across different segments. For more information, please check this article: Run reports by class.
