Hello there, megan.

I'll ensure to guide you on how you can check if the 1099 were filed in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In QuickBooks, after you file your 1099s to the IRS with the steps above, we’ll notify you of your filing status through email. If you want to check the filing status in your QuickBooks account, refer to the steps below.

  1. Go to Taxes, then 1099 filings.
  2. View the status of the e-filing under Filing status. Below is the list of statuses and what they mean: Not Submitted: You haven't e-filed Form 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC with the IRS. You can continue revising it. Submitted: You have e-filed the form to the IRS. Note: If you need to revise it, you may need to file a manual amendment. Use these IRS instructions and forms to do so. Received by IRS: The IRS has received your form and is either processing it or has already processed and approved it. Customers who have submitted their 1099 E-File forms will receive a confirmation email approximately a week after the IRS accepts and confirms submissions. You may not receive this confirmation until the middle of January or later.
  3. Then click View 1099 to view a PDF copy.

You can check out this article for further details: Create and file 1099s with QuickBooks Online.

If you're still unable to find records about the filing, I suggest performing the basic browser troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue. It also helps to improve and speed up your browser's performance. Cookies and caches may prevent you from seeing those records.

First, you'll want to restart your browser. Then, try checking the status in an incognito or private browser. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
Safari: press Command + Shift +

If it works on the private browser, go back to the regular browser and clear your browser's cache. Then, see if you can successfully approve the task in QuickBooks. Otherwise, you can use another supported browser.

Hi,

We are having the same issue - we efiled 1099s on 1/19  and it is now 1/30, but have not received an email confirmation which we need for record keeping purposes. The status on the 1099 filing webpage reads "Accepted", however we still need that email. Who can we contact to send us that email confirmation. Thank you

Welcome to the Community space, @OFCM.

Here are some insights regarding your concern about the status of your 1099 form. You mentioned that you haven't received an email confirmation, but the filing webpage in QuickBooks Online shows that your form is "Accepted".

In QuickBooks Online, your 1099 form is tracked while it is being sent to the IRS. You will also receive notifications about the progress of your filing. The status "Accepted" means that the IRS has received and processed your form. You can expect to receive an email confirmation by January 31, 2024.

Moreover, if you haven't received the email by January 31, I suggest contacting the Customer Support Team to check the status. Let me walk you through how:
